The GYMS of Life

CWI programs are intended to help you maintain three important parts of a healthy lifestyle called the GYMS of life. Get Your Movement Straight, Get Your Meals Straight, and Get Your Money Straight. Programs will change with each six-week session, based on need and community interest.

Kendall Brown

My name is Kendall Brown and I am a senior Exercise Science Student-Athlete here at Pitt. I am passionate about making fitness and health available for everyone and hope to make a positive impact on communities. Following graduation in May 2025, I plan to return to the University of Pittsburgh to pursue my Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology in the fall of 2025.

Nete Khoanyane

Nete is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh. Originally from the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, she founded and managed N-Fit Wellness Center, leading initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance community health through physical activity. Her overarching goal is to contribute to the integration of physical activity into Lesotho's health system and establish an Exercise is Medicine National Center as a vital component of preventive and rehabilitative care. Nete is currently volunteering with the Community Wellness Initiative of Pittsburgh and C. Howard Fitness.

My name is Rocco Avena and I am from New Castle, PA. I am a senior at the University of Pittsburgh. I have been a personal trainer for the past 2 years and plan to accelerate into a higher level management fitness career. After my internship I plan to pursue a business in online fitness and eventually creating my own business in the industry.
